Editorial Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

This page answers three questions you should ask of any site that recommends
where to spend your money: who writes this, how is it made, and why does it
exist.

Who writes what you read here

Two different things on this site have two different authors, and we do not
blur them:

  • Brand pages (the coupon tables) are generated by our
automated system from codes it collects and re-checks. No human writes them,
and we do not pretend otherwise. What makes them worth reading is the data:
live codes, real expiry dates, an honest “last verified” timestamp.
  • Guides and explainers are written and reviewed by the
TroveCoupon Editorial Team before they are published. They
carry that byline because it is accurate: a team stands behind them, and a
human reads every one before it goes live.

How we use automation — and where we stop

Automation is what makes this site possible: no small team can hand-check
codes across thousands of brands every day. So we automate collecting, checking,
and taking down codes.

What we do not do is publish unread, machine-written filler
to chase search traffic. If a guide is on this site, a person decided it was worth
writing, checked the claims in it, and put a date on it. We would rather publish
ten guides that are true than a hundred that are padding.

Why this site exists

Because most coupon sites waste your time. They leave dead codes up — an
expired code still earns them a click — and they dress it up with fake urgency and
invented success rates. We think a coupon site is only worth anything if it tells
you the truth about what works, including when the answer is “nothing right
now”.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong, we want to fix it, and we will say that we
fixed it. Email us through the Contact page — a broken
code, a wrong expiry date, or a guide that gives bad advice all deserve the same
reply. Pages we correct get an updated date, not a quiet edit.

Independence

We earn commissions from some of the brands we list — see our
Affiliate Disclosure. No brand has ever been
allowed to review a page before it goes live, buy a position on a list, or keep a
dead code up. If those two things ever come into conflict, the code comes down.
Read how we verify coupons for the
mechanics.
