How to Use Promo Codes
A promo code only works if it matches the cart you actually have. Here is how
to use the codes on TroveCoupon, and what to do when one is rejected.
Using a code, step by step
- Copy the code. On any brand page, click the code to copy
it. Codes are listed with the biggest discount first. - Read the details line. It tells you what the code is
supposed to do — sitewide, new customers only, minimum spend, one category.
Most failed codes fail here. - Fill your cart on the brand’s site, then go to checkout.
- Find the code box. It is usually labeled “Promo code”,
“Discount code”, “Coupon”, or “Gift card” and sometimes hides behind a
small “Have a code?” link near the order summary. - Paste and apply. Check that the order total actually drops
before you pay — a code can be “accepted” and still discount nothing if it
only applies to items you do not have. - If it fails, try the next code. That is why we list several
per brand.
Getting the biggest discount
- Try more than one code. The largest percentage is not
always the best deal — a $20-off code can beat 10% off a small cart. - Watch the minimum spend. Adding an item you do not want to
unlock a discount is not a saving. - Check whether shipping is included. A free-shipping code
can beat a percentage code on a light, cheap order. - Brands rarely stack codes. Most checkouts accept exactly
one. If a brand allows two, it will say so.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my promo code not work?
Almost always because the cart does not meet the code’s conditions: a
minimum spend, new customers only, a specific product or category, a region, or
a sale item that is excluded. Read the details line next to the code, adjust the
cart, and try again. If the code is genuinely dead, it will disappear from our
page at the next check.
Are the codes on TroveCoupon verified?
They are collected and re-checked automatically, and each brand page shows
the date of its last check. That is not the same as a human testing every code
in a real cart minutes ago — no coupon site can honestly claim that at scale.
Codes can stop working between checks, which is why we list several per brand.
Do I need an account to use a code?
Not on our site — TroveCoupon has no accounts and nothing to sign up for.
The brand itself may require an account at checkout, and some codes are
restricted to first-time or logged-in customers.
What does “No code needed” mean?
The discount is applied automatically when you land on the brand’s site, so
there is nothing to paste at checkout. Just make sure the price you see reflects
the offer before you pay.
What if a code expires today?
Use it today. Expiry dates come from the brand, and a code usually stops
working at the end of the expiry date in the brand’s own time zone — which may
be hours behind yours.
Does using a code from TroveCoupon cost me anything?
No. If you buy through one of our links we may earn a commission from the
brand, but your price is unchanged. See our
