Clarks UK Discounts: 15% Codes That Work, and the Sale Returns Trap
14 DAYS
Your return window if you buy in the sale — not 28
Checked July 15, 2026
Clarks discounts in the UK are real and worth having — but two of the things most voucher sites tell you about them are wrong, and one of those mistakes can cost you the right to return your shoes.
The 14-day trap on sale shoes
Start here, because it is the detail that costs people money. Clarks gives you 28 days to return an unworn item — but only 14 days if you bought it in a sale.
So the moment a discount makes you buy, your window to change your mind is cut in half. Shoes are the one thing you genuinely need to try on your own floor, at the end of a day, with your own socks. If you buy in the sale, do that in the first fortnight, not the third week.
Clarks does not have free returns
Every voucher site says it does. Clarks’ own returns page says otherwise:
- Postal returns cost £2.95, deducted from your refund.
- Exchanges are free.
- Returning to a Clarks store is free — immediate refund or exchange. (Not available for Outlet or Factory Store purchases, or items bought via Amazon Marketplace.)
- Faulty items are not charged.
If there is a Clarks within reach, take the shoes back in person. The £2.95 is pointless money.
The 15% codes that actually work
Students: 15% — via Student Beans, not UNiDAYS
Clarks’ own student page names UNiDAYS. When we checked, UNiDAYS had no live Clarks offer — just a “stay tuned” placeholder. The working code today is on Student Beans: 15% off with a minimum spend of £70.
The exclusions matter more than the percentage: sale items, school uniform and school shoes, Clarks Originals, kidswear and gift cards are all excluded. So the student code will not stack onto the sale — you choose one or the other.
NHS, emergency services, armed forces, teachers: 15% via Blue Light Card
Blue Light Card members save 15% at Clarks. Note the number: several NHS-discount sites quote 10%. The card’s own Clarks page says 15%. Eligibility runs well beyond the NHS — emergency services, armed forces, social care and teachers are all covered.
Delivery: the £50 line, and the free option nobody uses
| Option | Speed | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Standard home delivery | 4–5 days | £4.95 — free over £50 |
| Click & Collect at a Clarks store | 4–5 days | Free, any order value |
| EVRI next day | Next day (order by 7pm) | £6.95 |
| DPD next day | Next day | £9.95 |
Click & Collect is free at any order value. If you are buying one pair of £45 shoes, that is £4.95 saved for the price of a walk — and it puts you in the store, where returns are also free.
When Clarks actually discounts
The recurring event is the End of Season Sale — up to 60% off, and at the time of writing it also carried a buy-one-get-one-50%-off offer. Clarks runs Black Friday too; it keeps a permanent Black Friday page.
What we will not tell you about, because it does not exist for the UK: a Clarks “Boxing Day sale” or “January sale”. Clarks runs those pages for Canada and Australia. Nor is there a “mid-season sale” or “summer sale” — those are names invented by voucher sites. The sale is called the End of Season Sale.
The outlet is a different website
This trips people up: clarksoutlet.co.uk is a separate site from the main Clarks shop. It runs up to 70% off, with Clarks Originals at a standard 30% off RRP.
The catch ties back to returns: outlet purchases cannot be returned to a regular Clarks store. A cheaper shoe with a harder return path is a real trade-off, not a free lunch.
The order that saves the most
- If you qualify for Blue Light Card or Student Beans, use the 15% — but check whether the sale price is already lower, because the codes exclude sale stock.
- If your basket is under £50, choose Click & Collect. It is free at any value.
- Buying in the sale? Try them on within 14 days, not 28.
- Returning by post costs £2.95. Returning to a store costs nothing.
- Current codes are on our Clarks promo codes page.
